OUR AFRIKA WRAP

Muted start to the week even as rates and the dollar tilt lower in early trading amid tariff uncertainty. The space closed a tad softer on Friday after SCOTUS overruled Trump’s tariffs, with Trump subsequently slashing a 15% tariff under different trade authority. KENINT (-.375) led the slide, followed by SENEGL (-.25) as debt concerns lingered. Oilers were mixed — NGERIA (+.125) and GABON (+.125) bucked the broader tone as Brent rose (+0.14%) on Friday, while ANGOL (-.125) failed to track crude. Brent (-1%) however lower in early session as markets weigh the prospects of a U.S.–Iran nuclear deal. MOZAM (-1.75) markedly underperformed after the IMF warned on debt distress; bond albeit a touch higher this morning on dip buying.
