Positive start to the week as Treasuries and the dollar dip in early trading after China urged banks to scale back U.S. bond holdings. The space closed higher on Friday, led by SENEGL (+.625), with ZAMBIN (+.25) a distant second, while KENINT (-.25) underperformed. Oilers – ANGOL (+.25), GABON (+.25), and NGERIA (+.125) – firm in early session even as Brent (-0.9%) retreats on easing Middle East tensions. ETHOPI (-.375) slips after Moody’s affirmed its Caa3 rating with a stable outlook. Elsewhere, Angola’s inflation printed lower in Jan to 14.56% y/y (vs 15.7% prior).
