OUR AFRIKA WRAP
Largely muted at the open with opening flow tilted to supply. The space traded firmer on Thursday with as rates and the dollar came off recent highs amid easing of tensions over Greenland. BENIN (+1.125) outperformed as the country issued a 7Y sukuk (6.20%) and tapped the 38s at 7.40%; sukuk issue bid .125pts lower in early flows while the tap (immediately fungible) is muted in line with the rest of the Eurobond curve. Oilers similarly closed up – ANGOL (+.625), GABON (+.75), NGERIA (+.375) – albeit off highs as Brent (-1.81%) traded lower. Elsewhere, Angola’s state-owned Sonangol issued a maiden 5Y Eurobond note maturing 2031 at 11.50%; bonds bid +3.00 in early trading.
